About

PAUL EVANS

Paul Evans has spent over 30 years working in the automotive, motorsports and events industry – with experience gained in specialist writing, manufacturer/team/driver media relations, consumer/lifestyle and corporate PR, event

management and sponsorship activation.

Having been around for such a long time, he has extremely good contacts – in high and low places!

His career began in 1987, when he joined the leading motorsport weekly publication, Motoring News, as a journalist.

Seven years later, he moved across London to join Knightsbridge-based Avenue Communications, where he worked for the next four years as Ford’s World Rally Team media manager – working with the likes of Ari Vatanen, François Delecour, Carlos Sainz and Juha Kankkunen.

He established his own PR and events agency at the end of 1998, where he has since represented clients including SEAT (in the WRC, BRC, WTCC, BTCC – and for nine months as Acting Head of PR for SEAT UK), ŠKODA (IRC, ERC) and Strakka Racing (WEC and Le Mans).

He has also worked on special projects for a variety of other blue chip companies, including Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors (North America), Proton (Malaysia), Hyundai, Peugeot, Drayson Racing and Eurosport Events.

Event work includes working directly with the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Race Of Champions, Wales Rally GB, British MotoGP, Welsh Rugby Union, Aston Villa Football Club, National Asphalt Rally Championship and the Riyadh Season Car Show / Global Auto Salon – which involved managing the on-track live shows by the Ferrari F1 team, Vaughn Gittin Jnr and two new Guinness World Records (by Terry Grant stunt driver and David ‘The Bullet’ Smith - The Human Cannonball).
